“I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth…O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!”
Thailand Mission Trip
It was great to be in Bangkok with Bro. Rico Robedillo and the Filipino congregation for their Church Anniversary and a start-up leadership seminar. We also had a wonderful time with the Thai Pastor (pictured below) as we discussed evangelism strategies for Thailand. It is estimated that 95% of the people in Thailand are Buddhist. We also visited the Burmese Karen refugee camp on the Thailand/Myanmar border. Thousands of Karen people have fled from Burma because of persecution. Please pray with us for this needy mission field.
In the Philippines – Typhoons
The last several months the Philippines has been battered by four typhoons. Ketsana, brought the Philippine capital, Manila, its worst flooding in 40 years. Ketsana and three later storms killed more than 900 people. There was damage to the churches and some of the homes out in Polilio, but here at our home base in Tarlac City things were okay except for some extra rain. Many are still recovering from these typhoons.
Healing
One of the men in Tarlac City experienced a major physical trauma: Severe pain in the head, vomiting, one of his eyes not being able to focus, dizziness, lack of mobility, etc. Realizing that this was a serious situation, we cried out to the Lord, anointed him with oil, and prayed – believing for God to touch him. Of course the doctor was very concerned. After the tests were done, including a CT scan, the Doctor was so amazed. The CT scan came back with no indication of a problem! The Doctor said that our brother had experienced a miracle! He is doing good and is back to work. We praise God for this healing!
New Churches
Over the past several months, church fellowship groups have been started in both Balanti and Ca-re, two of the Tarlac City’s nearby barangays. Though we have already been penetrating these areas with Small Group Bible Studies, the time has come to move ahead. Members of the BTTI team and the LFH Training center are very involved in helping establish these new church plants.
LHF
The LHF Training Center continues, with 9 students this year. This is an intensive training program, which is producing a lot of good fruit in their lives. We are excited to see them growing, and to see a genuine willingness in their hearts to assist with the mission vision. We appreciate those of you who are continuing to support this training ministry through prayer and finances. Thanks so much.
New Website
Caleb has recently recreated the BTTI website. We hope to regularly add news articles, testimonials, and praise reports for those interested in them, who are wanting to rejoice with us in the things God is doing here. “Dan’s journal” entries should be a good source for current, personal news.
Charity returned to the Philippines in August. She and Joben have been teaching in the LFH Training Center, working with the music ministry and raising up more musicians. They have also been organizing the Christmas Celebration.
Teresa is involved with many aspects of the ministry as well. From helping with Youth Church and teaching the children’s class on Saturdays, to working with the music and helping with office work. We appreciate their diligence and faithfulness so much. They are a huge blessing here.
The BTTI Team
God has blessed us with an amazing Filipino BTTI Team. We pray God’s blessing will be poured out on them as they continue to faithfully serve the Lord and His people.
Overall, things in the Philippines have been progressing quite well. We are thrilled to see people’s lives being impacted and changed by the Gospel. Many are becoming strong, established Christians. Please continue to pray and believe with us for more souls to be saved and also for a larger BTTI facility here at the home base in Tarlac City. This is an urgent need for continued growth, as the place we are renting now is too small to accommodate the members.
We thank God for each one of you who have encouraged us, prayed for us and helped out financially this year. You are a very important part of this ministry. May the Lord bless you more and more and give you a Wonderful Christmas and a Marvelous New Year!
With Love and Appreciation,
Dan & Colleen Jaquith and Family
