“Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” Prov. 16:3 A few weeks ago I wrote about a 2-year-old child learning how to read from a Scripture wood plaque hanging on the wall of their house (Please note her picture along with her parents, above.) I was so blessed by her enthusiasm to memorize that I promised her another wood plaque for Christmas.
Prov. 16:3
When I dropped by their house with the gift, it was exciting to hear her attempt to quote another verse she had learned from a motto her parents had put on their wall – Prov. 16:3. What a great age to learn Scripture! I’m impressed! I’m reminded of my own dear Grandma who helped me memorize portions of Scripture when I was still sleeping in the crib while staying at her house as a child.
Dawson Trotman Quote
In an inspiring book about his life, Dawson Trotman, founder of the Navigators, shared a very thought provoking and profound statement I like to also share with people. “Nothing pays greater dividends for the time invested than writing God’s Word upon the tables of the heart!”
