City Jail Ministry

The Warden and Events Coordinator at the Tarlac City Jail are showing interest, and welcoming us to come there regularly for several hours a week to share “Light Brings Freedom”, as well.

The City Jail has around 500 inmates. However, when we stopped by there for a visit the other day the events coordinator told us that they are no longer called ‘inmates’, but something like “detainee’s who have lost their freedom”. ProbabIy around 90% of them are drug related cases. The war on drugs with the current administration here in the PI has placed 100’s of thousands and millions of people in jail and rehab centers throughout the nation, who desperately need to hear the good news Jesus came to bring.

It’s very interesting to note that we are going there to introduce a ‘finding true freedom’ emphasis, and point them to Jesus. Jesus said, “and you shall know the truth, and truth shall set you free! Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!” Hallelujah 🙂

Team MInistry

Even though I am not able to go personally at times, I’m thankful that the Lord has been raising up a team of men involved with Bridge to the Islands and Nations Ministries here in Tarlac City who are willing to help cover the ministry bases at the prisons. Glory to Jesus!
