Couple Prays to Receive the Lord

Last Sunday we had a Bible Study with one of the construction workers who is helping with our new church facility across the river in Balanti. After explaining the importance of the gospel, we asked them if they would like to know how to become born again. They both expressed interest to know more about it.  Before it was through, both of them wanted to sincerely repent of their sins, and pray to receive Jesus, and invite Him to be their Lord and Savior. PTL!

They also want another Bible Study this Sunday at the church site this time, before the service. Hallelujah!

More Bible Studies

They seemed very thankful for the Tagalog New Testaments we gave them to start reading together. They also expressed interest to have another Bible study with us this Sunday, at the church site before the afternoon service there. Hallelujah!

Deaths

At one of our outreach church plants, one of the men passed away. We are thankful that we had a chance to share about Jesus with Him while he was still alive. Life is so short. Judgment follows after death (Hebrews 9:27).  Now is the accepted time of salvation. There is coming a time soon when it will be too late, and peoples destinies will be already set. Let’s do our best to reach as many with the saving gospel of Jesus while it is possible…

Last night we had another wake service at their house. It was moved outside for the sake of reaching more people who had gathered. A guesstimate was more or less 50 people there. After sharing the gospel many of them wanted to pray to receive the Lord. PTL! I’m glad to report that we didn’t let a drunk heckler who was cursing and telling us to go home stop us! Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake…

Last week one of our pastors was at the Sunday service at the Provincial Jail. It was heart-rending to hear about one of the men who was heart-broken because his wife died the previous week. He was not able to attend the funeral service or even see her. Foolish decisions made in the past have resulting consequences. May the Lord help us all in wise decision making, so we can reap the blessings available on the pathway of obedience. Let’s continue to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and let our light shine!
