JESUS IS OUR REDEEMER – July 19, 2020

• I am redeemed!

OUR NEED FOR REDEMPTION

• Adam and Eve’s sin of disobedience
• All of us are sinners (Romans 3:23)
• Wages/consequences of death (Romans 6:23)
• We are all doomed to death & destruction because of sin.
• Jesus came to set us free from the curse of sin & death, cleanse us from sin and give us life

OUR REDEEMER IS ALIVE!

• Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth;

²⁵ “Pero alam kong buhay ang aking Tagapagligtas at sa bandang huli ay darating siya rito sa lupa para ipagtanggol ako.

JESUS IS OUR REDEEMER

• Lamentations 3:58  O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have REDEEMED my life.

⁵⁸ Tinulungan nʼyo ako sa problema ko Panginoon, at iniligtas nʼyo ang buhay ko.

• Luke 1:68 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and REDEEMED His people,

“Purihin ang Panginoong Dios ng Israel! Sapagkat inalala niya at tinubos ang kanyang bayan

• Hebrews 9:12 – Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION.

Minsan lang pumasok si Cristo sa Pinakabanal na Lugar. At hindi dugo ng kambing o ng guya ang dala niya kundi ang sarili niyang dugo. At sa pamamagitan ng kanyang dugo, tinubos niya tayo sa mga kasalanan natin magpakailanman.

• Titus 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might REDEEM us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Ibinigay niya ang kanyang sarili para sa atin upang tubusin tayo sa lahat ng kasamaan, at upang tayoʼy maging mamamayan niya na malinis at handang gumawa ng mabuti

• Galatians 3:13 Christ has REDEEMED us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Ngunit hindi natin masunod ang lahat ng iniuutos ng Kautusan, kaya sinumpa tayo ng Dios. Pero ngayon, tinubos na tayo ni Cristo sa sumpang ito. Sinumpa siya alang-alang sa atin, dahil sinasabi sa Kasulatan, “Isinumpa ang sinumang binitay sa puno.”^[a]

• 1 Peter 1:18,19 knowing that you were not REDEEMED with ^[b]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Alam naman ninyo kung ano ang ipinangtubos sa inyo mula sa walang kabuluhang pamumuhay na minana nʼyo sa mga ninuno ninyo. Ang ipinangtubos sa inyoʼy hindi ang mga bagay na nawawala katulad ng ginto o pilak,

• Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have REDEEMED us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

“Kayo po ang karapat-dapat na kumuha ng kasulatan at magtanggal ng mga selyo nito, dahil kayo ay pinatay, at sa pamamagitan ng inyong dugo ay tinubos nʼyo ang mga tao para sa Dios.  Ang mga taong ito ay mula sa bawat angkan, wika, lahi, at bansa.

OUR REDEMPTION WAS COSTLY

• Psalm 49:8 For the REDEMPTION of their souls is costly…

Dahil napakamahal ang pagtubos sa isang buhay;  hindi sapat ang anumang pambayad

WE ARE REDEEMED FREELY THROUGH JESUS

• Romans 3:24 – being justified freely by His grace through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus,

²⁴ Ngunit dahil sa biyaya ng Dios sa atin, itinuring niya tayong matuwid sa pamamagitan ni Cristo Jesus na siyang tumubos sa atin. Itoʼy regalo ng Dios.

JESUS REDEEMS US FROM TROUBLES

• Psalm 25:22 REDEEM Israel, O God, out of all their troubles!

O Dios, iligtas nʼyo po ang Israel sa lahat ng kaguluhan

ISRAEL WAS REDEEMED FROM THE BONDAGE OF EGYPT

• ISRAEL WAS REDEEMED FROM EGYPT –When the Israelites were rescued from the bondage, destruction and slavery of Egypt – they were “REDEEMED”.
• Exodus 6:6 Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will REDEEM you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
• Exodus 15:13 You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have REDEEMED;…

OUR REDEEMER PROMISES TO HELP US IN TIMES OF NEED

• Isaiah 41:14 I will help you,” says the Lord And your REDEEMER, the Holy One of Israel.

 Kahit na maliit ka at mahina, huwag kang matatakot dahil ako mismo ang tutulong sa iyo. Ako, ang Panginoon, ang nagsasabi nito. Ako ang iyong Tagapagligtas, ang Banal na Dios ng Israel.

OUR REDEEMER IS OUR CREATOR

• Isaiah 43:1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you,  O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have REDEEMED you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

Pero ito ngayon ang sinasabi ng Panginoong lumikha sa iyo, O Israel: “Huwag kang matakot dahil ililigtas kita. Tinawag kita sa pangalan mo, at ikaw ay akin.

• Isaiah 44:24 [Thus says the Lord, your REDEEMER, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself

 Ito ang sinasabi ng Panginoon na inyong Tagapagligtas na lumikha sa inyo: Ako ang Panginoong lumikha ng lahat ng bagay. Ako lang mag-isa ang naglatag ng langit at ako lang din ang lumikha ng mundo.

OUR REDEEMER IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD, THE LORD OF HOSTS

• Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his REDEEMER, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

“Ito ang sinasabi ng Panginoon, ang Hari at Tagapagligtas ng Israel, ang Panginoong Makapangyarihan: Ako ang simula at wakas ng lahat. Maliban sa akin ay wala nang iba pang Dios

• Isaiah 47:4 As for our REDEEMER, the Lord of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.

Ang ating Tagapagligtas, na ang pangalan ay Panginoong Makapangyarihan ay ang Banal na Dios ng Israel.

HE IS OUR SAVIOR & FORGIVES OUR SINS

• Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have REDEEMED you.”

Ang pagkakasala mo’y pinawi ko na, naglahong ulap ang katulad; Ika’y manumbalik dahil tinubos na kita at pinalaya.

• Isaiah 49:26 All flesh shall know That I, the Lord, am your Savior, And your REDEEMER, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Hihimukin kong magpatayan ang mga umaapi sa inyo.
    Mag-aalab ang kanilang poot, at mahuhumaling sa pagpatay.
Sa gayon makikilala ng sangkatauhan na akong si Yahweh ang Makapangyarihang Diyos,
    ang nagligtas sa Israel.”

• Isaiah 60:16 You shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior And your REDEEMER, the Mighty One of Jacob.

Aalagaan ka ng mga hari’t mga bansa,
tulad ng pag-aalaga ng isang ina sa kanyang anak.
Malalaman mong akong si Yahweh ang iyong Tagapagligtas;
at palalayain ka ng Makapangyarihang Diyos ni Jacob.

OUR REDEEMER IS STRONG

• Jeremiah 50:34 Their REDEEMER is strong; The Lord of hosts is His name.

 Ngunit makapangyarihan ang kanilang Manunubos; ang pangalan niya’y Yahweh na Makapangyarihan sa lahat…

LET’S REDEEM THE TIME!

• Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, REDEEMING the time.

⁵Maging matalino kayo sa pakikitungo sa mga hindi nananampalataya at samantalahin ninyo ang bawat pagkakataon.

• Ephesians 5:16 REDEEMING the time, because the days are evil.

 Gamitin ninyo nang lubusan para sa mabuti ang bawat pagkakataon, sapagkat puno ng kasamaan ang kasalukuyang panahon.
