Can we maintain peace in the midst of trouble, stress, and heartache? Yes, we can! It is because of Jesus.
JESUS IS OUR PEACE!!
- Ephesians 2:14
Our reconciling “PEACE” is JESUS ! He has made Jew and non-Jew one in Christ. By dying as our sacrifice, he has broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us and has now made us equal through our union with Christ. (TPT)
For HE HIMSELF is our PEACE, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, (NKJV)
- WHY IS “PEACE” SO IMPORTANT?
Is. 48:22 – “There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

It is a result of pleasing the Lord (Prov. 16:7)
It brings blessing ( Matt. 5:9; Ps. 29:11; Prov. 3:2)
The Gospel is the Gospel of Peace (Romans 10:15) (2 Thess. 3:16; Eph. 2:14)

The PEACE offered by the WORLD is an empty promise and can only bring temporary comfort.
The WORLD’S PEACE is fleeting and changes with circumstances. (Micah 3:5)
The world’s peace is built on the weak foundation of compromise.
The world’s peace ignores the root of the problem. (Jer. 6:14; Eze. 13:10)

- HOW CAN WE MAINTAIN PEACE IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE, STRESS, AND HEARTACHE?
Mark 4:39 35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

- RECOGNIZE THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL! V39
Our God is the God who parted the Red Sea, stilled the sun, raised people from the dead, healed the sick, and controlled the nature.
This God is on our side! We need to have a revelation of who our God is!
When we are in a storm, God may Change the circumstances or Deliver us out of the difficult circumstances or Walk with us through the storms!
If you are going through a storm, don’t be afraid. Jesus is in the boat. He is in control! If you are going through a financial difficulty, let me tell you, Jesus is in the boat!
