FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

ABIDING IN THE VINE

I found a new way of living,

I have a new life divine!

I have the fruit of the Spirit,

I’m abiding, abiding in the vine.

He has made them mine!

I have prosperity, power, and victory

PHILIPPIANS 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of RIGHTEOUSNESS, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:10 Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the FRUITS of your  RIGHTEOUSNESS…

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

EPHESIANS 5:9 For the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is in all goodness and RIGHTEOUSNESS and truth…

FRUIT OF THE RIGHTEOUS

• Proverbs 11:30 The FRUIT of the RIGHTEOUS is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

RIGHTEOUS FRUIT

• Wisdom
• Vision and revelation
• Encouragement
• Healing, help and comfort
• Love and goodness
• Joy & happiness
• Faith & Faithfulness
• Humility & self-control
• Righteous boldness (courage) & strength

RIGHTEOUSNESS BRINGS JOY

• Psalm 64:10 The RIGHTEOUS shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him, and all the UPRIGHT in heart shall glory.
• Psalm 68:3 But let the RIGHTEOUS be glad; let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

THE SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE

• Ephesians 5:18 -…BE FILLED with the Spirit… 
• Galatians 5:22-23  the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

• But the FRUIT produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine LOVE in all its varied expressions:

THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

• joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, A LIFE FULL OF VIRTUE, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.
• Psalm 25:10,21 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and TRUTH, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies… Let INTEGRITY and UPRIGHTNESS preserve me, for I wait for You.

WHAT BRINGS RIGHTEOUSNESS?

• JESUS SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS
• FAITH
• CORRECTION / INSTRUCTION
• WISDOM
• PEACE
• REPENTANCE
• EDIFICATION
• TRUTH

ABRAHAM

• Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS…
• James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of God.

ABRAHAM’S INSTRUCTIONS

• Genesis 18:17-19 And the Lord said… Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him. 
• Genesis 18:17-19 (cont.) For I have known him,  he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to DO RIGHTEOUSNESS and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

NOAH

• 2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of RIGHTEOUSNESS, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
• Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is by faith.

CHASTENING / INSTRUCTION

• Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the PEACEABLE FRUIT of RIGHTEOUSNESS unto them which are exercised thereby.

WISDOM

• Daniel 12:3 And they that be WISE shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to RIGHTEOUSNESS as the stars for ever and ever.
• PROVERBS 2:6-9 The Lord gives WISDOM… He lays up sound WISDOM for the RIGHTEOUS: He is a buckler to those that walk UPRIGHTLY….Then shall you understand  RIGHTEOUSNESS, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
• PROVERBS 8:6-8 (WORDS OF WISDOM ) Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be RIGHT things. For my mouth shall speak the TRUTH; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in RIGHTEOUSNESS; there is nothing forward or perverse in them.
• PROVERBS 8:18-20 Riches and honor are with me (WISDOM); yea, durable riches and RIGHTEOUSNESS. My FRUIT is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, in the midst of the paths of judgment…

GODLY LIFESTYLE

• 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOES 

            RIGHTEOUSNESS is RIGHTEOUS, even as he is RIGHTEOUS.

• 1 John 2:29 – If you know that he is RIGHTEOUS, you know that every one that does RIGHTEOUSNESS is born of him.

DO RIGHTEOUSNESS AT ALL TIMES

• Psalm 106:3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that does RIGHTEOUSNESS at all times.

TRUTH

• Proverbs 12:17 He that speaks truth shows forth RIGHTEOUSNESS: BUT a false witness deceit.

A GLORIOUS, HOLY CHURCH

• Ephesians 5:25-27 Christ also LOVED THE CHURCH and gave Himself for her,that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 
• Ephesians 5:25-27 (Cont.) that He might present her to Himself a GLORIOUS CHURCH, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
• I Peter 1:15,16 … But as He who called you is HOLY, you also BE HOLY in all your conduct, because it is written, “BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”
• ISAIAH 61:11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause RIGHTEOUSNESS and PRAISE to spring forth before ALL the nations.

PEACE AND QUIETNESS

• Isaiah 32:1,15-17 Behold, a king will REIGN IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, and princes will rule with justice… Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest.
• Isaiah 32:1,15-17  (Cont.) Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and RIGHTEOUSNESS remain in the fruitful field. The work of RIGHTEOUSNESS will be PEACE, and the effect of RIGHTEOUSNESS, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.
• Psalm 92:12 The RIGHTEOUS shall flourish like a palm tree,
  He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

HARVEST OF PEACE

• James 3:18 And the FRUIT of RIGHTEOUSNESS is sown in PEACE of them that make PEACE. (TPT)…it always bears the beautiful HARVEST OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

BLESSINGS UPON THE RIGHTEOUS

• Psalm 5:12 For You, O Lord, will BLESS THE RIGHTEOUS; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
• Psalm 24:3-5 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive BLESSING from the Lord, and RIGHTEOUSNESS from the God of his salvation.

REPENTANCE

• Jeremiah 18:7-8 – The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it…
• Jeremiah 18:7-8 (Cont.) If that nation against whom I have spoken TURNS FROM ITS EVIL, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.
• LUKE 13:3,5 (JESUS SAID)… unless you REPENT you will all likewise perish.
• 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

TIME TO SEEK THE LORD

• Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves RIGHTEOUSNESS; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains RIGHTEOUSNESS on you.

WHAT DOES NOT BRING RIGHTEOUNESS?

• WRATH
• UNGODLINESS AND HATRED
• BACKSLIDING

WRATH & ANGER

• James 1:20 For the wrath of man works NOT the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God.

UNGODLY LIFESTYLE

• 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does NOT righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

BACKSLIDING

• 2 Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
• Luke 17:28-30 –Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; ²⁹ but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. ³⁰ Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

AWAKE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

• I Corinthians 15:34 Awake to RIGHTEOUSNESS, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
• JOEL 3:9-18 wake up call/a time of war

SUFFERING PERSECUTION

• 1 Peter 3:14 But and if you suffer for RIGHTEOUSNESS’ sake, happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
• 2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live GODLY in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution!

THE FUTURE

• 2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells RIGHTEOUSNESS.

JESUS RULES AND REIGNS

• Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of RIGHTEOUSNESS is the scepter of your kingdom.
• ROMANS 15:12 And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall RISE TO REIGN over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”

JESUS IS A RIGHTEOUS JUDGE

• Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in RIGHTEOUSNESS he does judge and make war.

JESUS LOVES RIGHTEOUSNESS

• Hebrews 1:9 You have loved RIGHTEOUSNESS, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

A SET TIME IS COMING SOON

• Revelation 22:11-12 (JESUS) He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is RIGHTEOUS, let him be RIGHTEOUS still;
• Revelation 22:11-12 (Cont.) he who is holy, let him be holy still.” ¹² “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 

SALVATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS

• Psalm 37:39-40 But the salvation of the RIGHTEOUS is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
• Psalm 37:39-40 (Cont.) And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and SAVE them…

REWARD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

• Psalm 18:20-21 The Lord rewarded me according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS; according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
• Psalm 58:11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the RIGHTEOUS: verily He is a God that judges in the earth.
• Proverbs 11:18 The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be a sure reward.
• 2 TIMOTHY 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of RIGHTEOUSNESS, which the Lord, the RIGHTEOUS judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

ANSWERS TO PRAYER

• Psalm 34:17 – The RIGHTEOUS cry out, and the Lord hears,
  and delivers them out of all their troubles.

PROTECTION

• Psalm 56:4 In God I have put my trust; I will not fear.
  What can flesh do to me?
• Psalm 56:9,12-13 When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back;
  This I know, because God is for me. I will render praises to You,
  for You have delivered my soul from death.

GOD’S JUDGMENTS

• Isaiah 26:9 – when His judgments are    in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn RIGHTEOUSNESS.
• Psalm 96:13 – The Lord comes to judge the earth – He will judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
• Isaiah 61:10,11 RIGHTEOUSNESS  & praise is going to spring forth before all the nations
• Psalm 4:5 – (Offer the sacrifices of RIGHTEOUSNESS)
• Psalm 23:3 – (He leads in paths of RIGHTEOUSNESS)
• RIGHTEOUSNESS is God’s way for us to live.
• RIGHTEOUSNESS exalts a nation.

RIGHTEOUSNESS DELIVERS FROM DEATH

• Proverbs 11:4,19 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but RIGHTEOUSNESS delivers from death… As RIGHTEOUSNESS tends to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death.

FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

• The Lord is looking for FRUITS of RIGHTEOUSNESS in our lives! They bring Him glory & pleasure! He loves to see our lives bear good fruit, and  He will abundantly reward it.

JESUS

• It all comes back to JESUS, and the fruit of His Spirit in our lives. Let’s continue to seek to be filled with His Spirit, so that we can bring forth abundant fruit for His glory!
