“healing, PROTECTION, and deliverance”
The Lord sees and knows about you. You are very special to the Lord! He sees and knows where you are, and everything about you! He cares for you, and loves you dearly, and wants to speak to you through His Word. May your heart be open to receive something special from Him, as we consider the following Scriptures together.
Recently, in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep and was feeling miserable and fighting a physical battle with sickness. I got out of bed, got my guitar and started singing the following song — I call it “The Healing Song”. It has gone over and over in my heart since then. I would like to share it with you. The Lord has confirmed His healing in my body – little by little.
Healing isn’t always instantaneous. Most often it happens over a period of time. We need to continue to fight the fight of faith, and declare what the Lord promises us regardless of circumstances, or any dreadful, lying symptoms. The Word of the Lord is tried. He wants us to declare His promises in faith even when we don’t see the results immediately. Jesus said “these signs will follow those who believe. They “follow”. He often said “according to your faith be it unto you”! The Bible reveals that the Word of faith is in our mouths. He wants us to declare the Word! There were times when “as they went, they were healed…”. They weren’t all healed immediately.

FAITH DECLARATION
In the power and authority of Jesus name we command healing and deliverances, for the glory of God! Cancers, be gone! Virus’s and sickness and diseases and tumors leave, in the name of Jesus! Strongholds of the devil be broken! Lies and deception we resist you! We resist the devil, and everything that is of the devil – pride, arrogance, and every evil stronghold we bind, and we pray for freedom! Whom the Lord sets free is truly free. We claim healings and deliverances and freedom, in Jesus mighty name!
Story of Elisha and his Servant
2 Kings 6:16,17 – …he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Special note: Greater is He that is in us, then he that is in the world. (I John 4:4). There are more fighting for us than our enemies (2 Kings 6:16). If God is with us, who (or what) can stand against us? (Romans 8:31)
The emphasis about the FEAR OF THE LORD should be continuous! It is not just a one time focus. It is foundational and should undergird everything in life!
HEALING
Malachi 4:2 – But to you who FEAR MY NAME The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings;
Special note: Jesus already paid for our healing – Isaiah 53:5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (We were, we are, and we shall be HEALED! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever – Hebrews 13:8! HALLELUJAH!) HE TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESSES!!
Nothing is impossible! God is a specialist! He is the GREATEST PHYSICIAN!
Jehovah-Rapha
One of the 7 redemptive names names of God… Jehovah-rapha-“I am the Lord that heals you or -“I am the Lord your physician”
Exodus 15:25-26 – “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
Special note: One of the 7 redemptive names names of God… Jehovah-rapha or “I am the Lord that heals you or “I am the Lord you’re your physician” – (He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses).
Exodus 23:25 – “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
Special note: My parents took this literally, and believed the Lord to help provide healing through healthy bread and pure water.
Deuteronomy 7:14-15 – You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. 15 And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
Deuteronomy 30:19 – I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live…
THE WORD OF GOD BRINGS HEALING
Psalm 107:20 – He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions…
Special note: How does the Word of God bring healing? Speak the word over the sickness until it disappears –– no matter how long it will take, keep declaring in faith that you are healed. Stand on the precious, true promises of God’s Word until faith becomes sight. Activate your faith with your words. The word of faith is in your mouth (what’s in you heart that you speak) (Romans 10:8).
Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(AMP) – Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
GOD SAID IT AND I BELIEVE IT
There is a Scripture song that goes like this: God said, and I believe it, and that settles it for me!… Though some may doubt that His Word is true I’ve chosen to believe it now how about you? God said it, and I believe it and that settles it for me!
Romans 4:16-21 – in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations,
I Kings 8:56 – “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.
Proverbs 4:20-22 – My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, 22 for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.
Psalm 103:2-4,11,17 – Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,4 Who redeems your life from destruction…. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him…
Psalm 118:17 – I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
THE WORD OF GOD IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE
Matthew 8:5-10 – When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, 6 “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” 7 Jesus said, “I will come and HEAL him.” 8 But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. 9 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!
Special note: Jesus marveled at the officer’s faith. How was it demonstrated and seen? By his confidence in the authority of Jesus WORD!
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
HEALING WAS PART OF JESUS’ MINISTRY
Matthew 4:23; 9:35 – Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people… Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Luke 4:18 – “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me TO HEAL the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; 9 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Acts 10:38 – God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus referred to himself as a physician
Mark 2:16-17 – …“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” (Jesus)
Luke 4:23 – He (Jesus) said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ”
HEALING IS NOT JUST FOR INDIVIDUALS BUT FOR NATIONS
The NATIONS NEED HEALING!
Psalm 67:2 -That your way may be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations.
Revelation 22:1-2; 17 – he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations… And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
GOD WANTS US TO BE HEALTHY
God wants us to be healthy and whole! Healing is HIs will!
Isaiah 58:8 -…Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily,
Jeremiah 30:17 – … I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
Jeremiah 33:6 – …I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
3 John 2 – … I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Acts 10:38 – Jesus of Nazareth… went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil...
Hebrews 10:7 – (prophetic of Jesus) – …‘Behold, I have come— …to do Your will, O God.’ ”
Matthew 12:15 – … great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.
Luke 6:19 – ..the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.
Matthew 14:36 – …begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.
Luke 4:40 – …all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.
John 6:38 – (Jesus ) …I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
Romans 8:11– …if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, …not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
James 5:14-15 – Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up…
I Peter 2:24 – …who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Since Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, (Hebrews 13:8) He is able to heal every sickness and disease today! The same Lord Jesus that provided for our forgiveness and cleansing from sin, also provided for our healing and deliverance!
HEALING COMES FROM GOD
2 Chronicles 7:14 – If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Jeremiah 30:2,17 – Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.… I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
Hosea 6:1 – Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind (bandage) us up.
Healing flows in God’s house
Ezekiel 47:1,9 – …there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple... it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
Psalm 67:2 – That your way may be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations.
Healing is for all and should be preached to all
Healing is available to all people everywhere, all over the world.
There are many supporting verses for this: Acts 8:6-8; Acts 3; Acts 14:6-8; Matthew 8:16,17; Matthew 12:15; Matthew 9:35; 4:23; 19:2; 21:14; Mark 6:13; Luke 4:40; 5;15; 6:9; 9:11; Acts 3:1-11; 5:15; 2:8-9; 8:7.
God answers prayer for healing!
Psalm 30:2 – O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me.
James 5:16 – Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
I John 5:14-15 – this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Philippians 4:6-7 – Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 10:23,35-36 – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:…
Hebrews 11:11 – By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.

2 Chronicles 30:20 – And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
Hezekiah was healed
Hezekiah was deathly sick. He prayed and cried out to the Lord, and the Lord healed him. (Isaiah 38)
God does not and cannot lie
Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Healing comes through the name of Jesus

Special note: A side benefit from coming to Dr. Jesus for healing is that his prescriptions are FREE (monetarily)! They do require faith to activate, however. When we use our ATM card at the bank, we need to enter our PIN. Without it there is no access to our account. Our spiritual PIN is faith! Often Jesus would say, “according to your faith be it unto you!” (Matthew 9:29).

All things are possible through Jesus
Mark 9:23; 11:23,24 – Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”…23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
PROTECTION AND DELIVERANCE
Psalm 34:7, 9, The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.
Psalm 62:2, 6-7 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.3 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Psalm 91:1-4, 9-11 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:15-16 – He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 6 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
Isaiah 42:7 – (Jesus brings prisoners out from prison bondage) — To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
Jesus Christ is referred to as the Deliverer
Romans 11:26 – … there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
God is called the Deliverer – HE SETS US FREE
Psalm 70:5 – But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay.

Joel 2:32 – it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be DELIVERANCE, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
Romans 8:2 – the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes us free…
John 8:32,36 – “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”…Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
OVERCOMING IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…
Let’s be strong in the Lord, and clothed in full spiritual armor for the battle – (Ephesians 6:10-17).
Satan is real – demons are real – curses are real – but the good news is that Jesus has obtained deliverance for us!
There is a very real battle going on for the sons of men. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).
When we love God, we can expect to have the blessings of His protection and deliverance!
2 Timothy 1:7 – God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
You don’t have to live in mental or emotional oppression. You don’t have to live depressed. You don’t have to live tormented, confused or under a curse! You don’t need to live in bondage to vices. You don’t have to live in any kind of captivity. Jesus is our DELIVER!
What are some examples of God’s deliverance in the Bible?
Lot was delivered from destruction (Genesis 19:15).
David was delivered from a lion, a bear, and many times from his enemies (I Samuel 17:37).
The 3 Hebrew men were delivered from the furnace (Daniel 3:27).
Daniel was delivered from the lions (Daniel 6:22,27).
The apostles were delivered from jail (Acts 5:18).
Peter was delivered from the prison cell (Acts 12:7).
Paul and Silas were delivered from prison (Acts 16:26).
The demon possessed boy was delivered. Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment (Matthew 17:14-18).
The demon possessed man was healed (Luke 4:33-35).
DELIVERANCE IS AVAILABLE TODAY
I Corinthians 10:13 – … God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
2 Timothy 4:18 – And the Lord will DELIVER me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom.
2 Corinthians 1:10 – who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us…
2 Corinthians 3:17 – where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!
Romans 8:2 – the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes us free…
Galatians 3:13-14, 29 – Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith… And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Philippians 2:13 – for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
(if he rescued Lot)… 2 Peter 2:9 – if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.
FAITH CONFESSION (Cont)
Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore, I give no place to sickness or pain, for God sent his Word and healed me (Psalm 107:20). Jesus is the Lord of my life. Sickness and disease have no power over me (Colossians1:21,22). Jesus bore my sins in His Body on the tree. Therefore, I am dead to sin and live unto God and by His stripes I am healed and made whole. (I Peter 2:24; Romans 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:21). You have healed all my diseases. You have redeemed my life from destruction. You have satisfied my mouth with good things so that my youth is renewed as the eagles (Psalm 103:2-5). Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. Therefore, I refuse to allow sickness or disease to dominate my body. I resist the devil, and everything from the devil, in Jesus name!
