Our all-day Worship Retreat at Peniel Prayer Mountain last Saturday was a great time! We are hearing many wonderful testimonies, and we give JESUS praise! The Lord answered our prayers! There was a very special, mighty move of His Holy Spirit there! Hallelujah!
One lady testified to a healing in her body. Others shared how the Lord spoke to them, and things He impressed them with. Some were mightily moved upon by the Holy Spirit. There were some testimonies with tears about deep things happening in their lives, in the presence of the Lord… It was definitely a wonderful time!
There were 69 of us in attendance – from youth to the elderly. Our initial estimate with Peniel was for 15-20 people (maybe up to 25). It was an overwhelming turn-out, close to tripling our expectations!
We gathered around 7:00 a.m. that morning. Then we traveled approximately an hour to Peniel Prayer Mountain, and returned home again that evening.
Here’s several things that I found very interesting. You would think our schedule would have been absolutely exhausting. It was a full-packed day. However, it was quite the opposite for some of us, because time spent in the presence of the Lord is so invigorating and life-giving! We could hardly stop our closing session together! People wanted to sing and continue to whole-heartedly worship the Lord, linger, and stay longer! No one seemed to be in a hurry to leave. It was totally amazing! We had targeted to finish around 5 p.m. and head back home, and we went over-time for probably close to 45 minutes or so, and they absolutely loved it! Unitedly, there was so much joy and excitement in our hearts, and everyone seemed to have a good time!
Of course there was obviously an element of physical fatigue as we came back to another busy Sunday, with involvement in services in various places. However, it is true – “the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH!” – Nehemiah 8:10. I got back home Sunday evening so charged up – after ministering at our afternoon service in Balanti, followed by visitation ministry time in one of the members homes who experienced a death in their family a few days ago. It was an AWESOME weekend, and we give the Lord praise for His faithfulness, and many answers to prayer!
