PRAYER MEETING

With the faithful few who gathered for our weekly prayer meeting this evening, there were several noteworthy revelations that I would like to share with you…

WORSHIPPING WITH THE ANGELS

As we were worshipping and praising the Lord, one of our group saw the heavens open and multitudes of angels worshipping. We were worshipping along with the angels! It was so exciting! They had never seen anything like it before! They said that the sky was covered with angels — filling the sky, layers and layers deep of them… Hallelujah! What a joy it is to join with the heavenly hosts in praising Jesus, the worthy Lamb of God!

chinese bamboo

Another person was reminded of the illustration of the Chinese bamboo tree, during our time of worship tonight. The Chinese bamboo is an amazing tree. After it is planted and before it sprouts, for a number of years you don’t see growth, and it doesn’t seem like much is happening. During that time it is in the process of building a strong root system to be able to sustain the growth, when it happens. When growth becomes visible, it is very rapid. The tree grows to be very large, and without that strong root system to sustain it, it would not be easily maintained, and could easily become top heavy and fall..

There was also reference made to Jeremiah 17:7-8: Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The Chinese Bamboo – takes 5 years to start growing…

They say that the bamboo tree does not grow for 5 years. Then within 5-6 weeks it grows 80 feet. Years 0-4 – no growth. You water a Chinese bamboo tree for 4 years before it sprouts the 5th year, and it can grow up to 90 feet tall!
