Jesus is life itself. Make Jesus your life!

INTRO – (importance of choosing life, not death… what real life is, etc.)

JESUS IS OUR LIFE – abundant life…

ETERNAL LIFE

Life – NOT DEATH!
The wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
God has given us ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in His Son. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have ETERNAL LIFE, (John 5:11-13)
Jesus is the source of ETERNAL LIFE! (JOHN 17:2,3)
Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE…that the world through Him might be SAVED. (John 3:16-17)
I give them ETERNAL LIFE, and they shall never perish; (John 10:28)
His command is EVERLASTING LIFE. (John 12:50) His words are spirit and LIFE (John 6:63)
Believing in Jesus brings LIFE.
Some reject God’s word through unbelief and are unworthy of eternal life
Eternal life is for those who by patient continuance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality (Romans 2:7)
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the TREE OF LIFE, (Revelation 22:14)

THE TREE OF LIFE

(Review Biblical revelation of the tree of life)
The TREE of LIFE was in the midst of the garden of Eden
When Adam and Eve sinned, they were cast out of the garden, so they could not partake of the TREE OF LIFE, and live forever.
Wisdom is a tree of life – Jesus is made unto us wisdom
Overcomers are rewarded with fruit from the tree of life (Revelation 2:7)
The water of life flows from the throne of God and is where the TREE OF LIFE is (Revelation 22:2)

LAY HOLD ON ETERNAL LIFE

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on ETERNAL LIFE… (I Timothy 6:12)
Maintain our hope of eternal LIFE (Titus 1:2)
Eternal LIFE has been made known to us through Jesus (I John 1:2)
this is the promise that HE HAS PROMISED US—ETERNAL LIFE. (I John 2:25)
Those who hate and murder will not be rewarded with eternal life (I John 3:15)
that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and ETERNAL LIFE. (I John 5:20)
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto ETERNAL LIFE. (Jude 1:21)

THE PATHWAY OF LIFE

The 2 ways – the narrow way & the broad way
Matthew 7:14 – Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Psalm 16:11 – You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’
Isaiah 2:3 – He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
(baptism) … , even so, we also should WALK in the newness of LIFE.

JESUS IS LIFE!

CHOOSE LIFE!!!

JOHN 1:4 – In Him was LIFE, & the LIFE was the light of men.
“I am the resurrection and the LIFE. He who believes in Me, though he may die, HE SHALL LIVE.
Go for JESUS, the LIFE Himself. The world is dead without JESUS!
Make JESUS your life!!
NOT JUST LIFE – BUT ABUNDANT LIFE! TRUE LIFE!
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it MORE ABUNDANTLY. (John 10:10)
