PSALM 106:5
That I may see the good of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.
(NKJV) – ...see the benefit of Your chosen ones… (LSB) – That I may see the goodness of Your chosen ones, (NCB) …Let me delight in the success of your chosen ones, (NLV) …so I may share in the well-being of Your chosen ones. (WYC) …To see in the goodness of thy chosen men… (YLT) To look on the good of Thy chosen ones…
PSALM 102:13-16
You shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come. 14 For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor the dust thereof. 15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.16 When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
- Special note: At times and in some places there is criticism, scorn, and negativism towards God’s chosen leaders in the house of God. Rather than that, the Lord wants us to see the good in one another! He wants us to delight in one another, take pleasure in, build up, and edify one another – not tear down and discourage!
PRAISE REPORT
Recently I attended a service that was such a blessing! The people were giving genuine, and heart-felt praise and thanksgiving for their lead pastor and his wife. It was wonderful! Not only was the leadership team very honoring and supportive, but the congregation were showering thanksgiving and their loving appreciation upon their pastor and his wife! Everyone was blessed!
That is the way it should be. That is God’s design and purpose in His church! He wants the members to take delight in one another, see the good in one another, build one another up and edify one another. This is the joyful pathway of blessing and glory in HIs house!
- Special note: Rather than bite, chew-up, devour, and spit-out one another – it is delightful to experience the atmosphere of thanksgiving and praise!
JESUS IS BUILDING HIS CHURCH
Matthew 16:18 – I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
- Special note: Jesus is building His church! That is the opposite of tearing down, and destroying it! How is Jesus doing it? Through the process of edifying one another, encouraging one another, helping one another, loving one another, and seeing the good in one another! This brings joy and delight in His house!
The destructive forces of evil will not prevail against His church! Hallelujah! We overcome evil with good! (Romans 12:21) We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony! (Revelation 12:11) We triumph in praise! (Psalm 106:47) We overcome by exercising our faith, and resisting the devil and everything that is of the devil! (I John 5:4; James 4:7) We overcome by the living Word abiding in us, and through us! (I John 2:14) We can overcome because greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world! (I John 4:4) We overcome by the power of the Spirit of God raising up a standard against the enemy! (Isaiah 59:18; Micah 3:8) We can be of good cheer and rejoice, because Jesus overcame, and so can we! (John 16:33) Overcomer’s inherit all things! What wonderful, glorious things the Lord has in store for His overcoming church! (Revelation 21:7)
