MIRACLE BABY – JEDIDIAH (Beloved of the lord)

It’s always a joy to dedicate children to the Lord. This child is an answer to prayer, as the mother had physical complications and didn’t know if she would be able to have children. God gave her a promise from Deuteronomy 30:9, “Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb…” God has a great plan for this little boy!

Good day! I would like to share my testimony… because I would like to give back all the glory to the Lord for his faithfulness. I know he (John – Jedediah’s father) will definitely agree that we thank and praise the Lord.

Last February 2014 I had surgery and they had to remove my left ovary because of a 10cm dermoid cyst. After this happened, everybody is telling me, even my doctor that I only have 50% chance of getting pregnant because I only have 1 ovary left and if ever I got pregnant, if my first child was a girl then all my children will be girls because this was the case of those who have only one ovary as proven by people who have the same case with me. In some cases, most women who have only 1 ovary never get pregnant at all (one case was in Aguso the daughter of sister pearly who never got pregnant up to this day because she only had 1 ovary left). So with that, I was already starting to accept the “fact” (before I thought it’s a fact) that I cannot have any children even if I get married because everybody is telling me that. So, when me and john were still dating but he was in Taiwan back then, I already asked him if it is okay with him if we will not have any children and his response was “His will be done”. So during courtship, I told him that we should read our bible, he was reading it (even if he was not a christian yet but I kept on witnessing to him) and we were memorizing and reciting verses together thru video calls and one time, he told me that he has a perfect verse for me and he gave me Deuteronomy 30:9 he said it should be my life verse because it perfectly matches my birthday which is September 30 and September is the 9th month and he said that this is the Lord’s promise for me so I have to claim it. So here is what it says: “Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors…”

When I read this, I was kind of like wow is this really for me Lord? I was kind of in doubt of course because of my surgery. I was asking God how can you make my womb fruitful if my case is like this? But even if I had doubts, I just kept on trusting the Lord’s will and claimed this verse because it is really a perfect verse for me where God can show himself faithful and at work with impossibilities. Fast forward, here we are, full of thanksgiving because first, I got three children! Second, because I got a boy! (which I really think before was impossible, because everybody is telling me you will never have a boy and all your children will be girls). Well, that is what they know. But I have a God who is ABLE! Able to make miracles up to this day. We really consider Jedi as a miracle from God and we named him Jedidiah because it means “beloved of the Lord” and whenever I look at Jedi, I see the Lord’s goodness of how He has carried us through and he even left a mark on Jedidiah’s leg (an inverted heart-shaped birthmark) and for me it’s the Lord’s way of reminding us how He loves Jedi and all of us. This is why Jedi is so special to us, because he is indeed an answered prayer for all of us. Praise the Lord for His goodness!
