BIBLE FOR BOY

I heard a testimony this evening about a young boy (possibly around 8 years old) who came to the Jesus Film showing last Friday night. He came up to one of our team, persistently asking for a Bible over and over again. Some of the other children made fun of him for wanting a Bible, since he couldn’t read. He was told to learn to read, and she would give him a Bible. However, he came to her once again, this time with the response that “he would ask someone to read it to him” — and, he got his Bible. When the other children continued to tease him about not being able to read it, his response to them was “he would get someone to help him read it”.

The hunger that this little boy showed for God’s Word, and wanting to know more about Jesus is outstanding. It might help him learn to read.

Here’s a good evaluation, and personal application question. How much do we hunger and thirst for God’s Word? Those of us who can read, what are we doing about it? We need to value the Bible, prioritize it, and actually take time to read it. Maybe we can help some others others around us who need to hear the good news, and share the Word with them, too.

  1. Hi Dan. Sure enjoyed the wonderful testimonies. I know that I would be very delighted to visit you ministry.
An up date on ARMS Kenya… We have the total amount for the knitting machine, just praying for the cost of shipping and training. Director Ann had to have surgery so she is resting to recover. Resting is not one of her strong points. Their next project is to get an embrodery machine. With these investments the ladies who take our Her Jouney classes can get a percentage on their projects. With the machines they can contract schools for school sweaters and with embrodrey machines the can put logos one the sweaters and embrodery (can’t spell that) names on any thing creating good income. They would be pretting self suffient for the school and office. We are getting more women training to be Her Journey facilatators to reach more women in Domestic and Gender abuse
