RIGHTEOUSNESS – 15

STANDARD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – LIFE (M)

Isaiah 59:19 – So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will LIFT UP A STANDARD AGAINST HIM.

• Special note: The SPIRIT OF THE LORD raises a standard against the enemy! The SPIRIT GIVES LIFE, not death! Raising a RIGHTEOUS STANDARD through the powerful work of the SPIRIT OF LIFE brings exaltation in a nation. However sin, unholiness, disobedience, and rebellion ultimately leads to death, not life.

Proverbs 14:34 – Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.

When we are cleansed through the blood of Jesus (I John 1:7) our sins are forgiven, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS imputed to us. He takes away our UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, and exchanges it for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (2 Corinthians 5:21).

THE STANDARD OF THE LIFE

It is important that we make choices and decisions that produce life, not death! Real, true life comes from God. The Bible has a lot to say about LIFE. The Lord has given us the opportunity and privilege of choosing the WAY OF LIFE, which is the WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jesus came to reveal and give us the priceless gift of everlasting life, and His righteousness which frees us from the curse of sin and death. He is worthy of thanksgiving and praise!

THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS LIFE

Proverbs 11:19; 12:28; 21:21 – …righteousness leads to life... in the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death… He who follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness, and honor.

Romans 5:17 – those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

JESUS IS our LIFE

As we dwell in His presence, JESUS imparts His life to us. His Spirit gives life and fruitfulness. Living waters will flow out of our innermost being. We will experience abundant life. Jesus is the true and living God. Life is a precious gift. We need to steward it wisely. We must guard our heart, for out of it are the issues oflife. We are to speak words of life. There is a way of life – Jesus is the way of life. The way of life is a straight and narrow way. Many are going the way of destruction. Jesus has given His church keys of the kingdom. One of those keys is life. Faith produces life. Seeking Jesus brings life. Sharing Jesus brings life. Praising Jesus brings life. Speaking the Word brings life. The kingdom of God is established in life – by the Spirit of God. The Lord promises long life and blessings to those who love Him – blessings all our days. Life is obtained through the blood of Jesus – the blood of the Lamb. As we partake of His blood we have life. In Jesus we live. move, and have our being. The water of His words and His Spirit bring life. He is the source of life. He is the light of life. Truth brings life. Life brings victory and triumphs over death. The key of life is in our words. When we speak words of life, there will be an abundance of fruit for God’s glory. He has given us a living and eternal hope – life everlasting, that lasts forever. Hallelujah!

MORE SCRIPTURES RELATING TO THE STANDARD OF LIFE (not death)

JESUS IS OUR LIFE – ABUNDANT LIFE…

• John 1:1-4 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was in the beginning with God. ³ All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ⁴ IN HIM WAS LIFE, and the LIFE was the light of men. 
• John 14:6 – Jesus said unto him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the LIFE!”
• John 10:10 – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it MORE ABUNDANTLY.
• Acts 17:25,28 – Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since HE GIVES TO ALL LIFE, breath, and all things…. for IN HIM WE LIVE and move and have our being…

• John 20:31 – but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have LIFE in His name.
• Romans 5:10 – For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be SAVED BY HIS LIFE.

THE WORDS OF JESUS ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE

• John 6:63 – It is THE SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE; the flesh profits nothing. The WORDS THAT I SPEAK TO YOU ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE.
• Hebrews 4:12 – For the WORD OF GOD IS LIVING and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
• Psalm 119:50 – This is my comfort in my affliction, For YOUR WORD has given me life.
• Matthew 4:4 – Man shall not LIVE by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.
• Proverbs 4:20-22 – My son, give attention to my WORDS; Incline your ear to my SAYINGS.²¹ Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are LIFE to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

• 2 Corinthians 3:6 – who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but OF THE SPIRIT; for the letter kills, but THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE.
• Romans 8:22 – For the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
• Romans 8:11 – But if the SPIRIT OF HIM who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give LIFE to your mortal bodies THROUGH HIS SPIRIT who dwells in you.
• Romans 8:2,6,10 – For the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and death… For to be carnally minded is death, but to be SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE and peace… And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but THE SPIRIT IS LIFE because of righteousness.
• I Corinthians 15:45 – And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT.

THE LIVING GOD – MY REDEEMER LIVES

• Job 19:25 – For I know that MY REDEEMER LIVES, And He shall stand at last on the earth…
• Psalm 42:2 – My soul thirsts for God, for THE LIVING GOD…
• Jeremiah 10:10 – …the Lord is the TRUE GOD; He is THE LIVING GOD and the everlasting King.

• I Timothy 3:15; 4:10 – I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of THE LIVING GOD, the pillar and ground of the truth… For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in THE LIVING GOD, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
• I Timothy 6:17 – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in THE LIVING GOD, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

GOD IS THE SOURCE OF LIFE TO ALL FLESH

• I Timothy 6:13 – I urge you in the sight of God who gives LIFE TO ALL THINGS…

GOD IS MY LIFE AND MY STRENGTH

• Psalm 27:1 – The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the STRENGTH OF MY LIFE; Of whom shall I be afraid?
• Isaiah 40:31 – But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…
• Psalm 42:8 – The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the GOD OF MY LIFE.

A LIVING HOPE

• I Peter 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…

LIVE BY FAITH

• Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the LIFE which I now LIVE in the flesh I LIVE BY FAITH in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

RESURRECTION LIFE

• John 11:25 – Jesus said to her, “I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. He who believes in Me, though he may die, HE SHALL LIVE.
• Acts 3:15 – and killed the Prince of LIFE, whom GOD RAISED FROM THE DEAD, of which we are witnesses.
• John 5:29 – and come forth— those who have done good, to THE RESURRECTION OF LIFE, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
• Romans 4:17 – (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives LIFE TO THE DEAD and calls those things which do not exist as though they did…
• 2 Timothy 1:10 -…but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought LIFE AND IMMORTALITY TO LIGHT through the gospel…
• 2 Corinthians 5:4 – For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by LIFE.
• Colossians 3:3,4– For you died, and your LIFE is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our LIFE appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

JESUS IS ALIVE

• Revelation 2:8 – “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to LIFE:
• Revelation 1:17-18 – He (Jesus) laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. ¹⁸ I AM HE WHO LIVES, and was dead, and behold, I AM ALIVE FOREVERMORE. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. 
• Romans 6:10 – For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the LIFE that HE LIVES, HE LIVES to God.

THE LIGHT OF LIFE

• (again) John 1:4 In Him was LIFE, and the LIFE WAS THE LIGHT of men.
• John 8:12 – Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM THE LIGHT of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the LIGHT OF LIFE.”
• Job 33:30 – To bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the LIGHT OF LIFE.

THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE

• Revelation 21:6 – And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the FOUNTAIN OF THE WATER OF LIFE freely to him who thirsts.
• Psalm 36:9 – For with You is the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE; In Your light we see light.
• Proverbs 14:27 – The fear of the Lord is a FOUNTAIN OF LIFE, to turn one away from the snares of death.
• Proverbs 13:14 – The law of the wise is a FOUNTAIN OF LIFE, to turn one away from the snares of death.
• Proverbs 16:22 – Understanding is a WELLSPRING OF LIFE to him who has it. 

WATER OF LIFE –- LIVING WATER

• Revelation 22:17 – And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the WATER OF LIFE freely.
• John 4:14 – …but whoever drinks of THE WATER that I shall give him will never thirst. But THE WATER that I shall give him will become in him a FOUNTAIN OF WATER springing up into everlasting life.”

THE RIVER OF LIFE – RIVERS OF LIVING WATER

• Revelation 22:1-2 – And he showed me a pure RIVER OF WATER OF LIFE, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. ² In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life…
• Ezekiel 47:9 And it shall be that every LIVING THING that moves, wherever the RIVERS GO, WILL LIVE. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will LIVE WHEREVER THE RIVER GOES.
• Psalm 46:4 – There is a RIVER whose STREAMS shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
• John 7:37-39 Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. ³⁸ He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow RIVERS OF LIVING WATER.” ³⁹ But this He spoke concerning THE SPIRIT, whom those believing in Him would receive… 

TREE OF LIFE

• Proverbs15:4 – A wholesome tongue is a TREE OF LIFE, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
• Genesis 2:9; 3:24 – The TREE OF LIFE was also in the midst of the garden… He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the TREE OF LIFE.
• Revelation 2:7 – “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the TREE OF LIFE, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” ’
• Revelation 22:2 – In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the TREE OF LIFE…The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
• Revelation 22:14 – Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the TREE OF LIFE, and may enter through the gates into the city.
• Proverbs 3:18,22 – She is a TREE OF LIFE to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her… So they will be LIFE to your soul And grace to your neck.
• Proverbs 11:30 – The fruit of the righteous is a TREE OF LIFE, and he who wins souls is wise.
• Proverbs 13:12 – Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a TREE OF LIFE.

BREATH OF LIFE

• Genesis 2:7 – the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE; and man became a living being.

BREAD OF LIFE

• John 6:33,35 – For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and GIVES LIFE to the world.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the BREAD OF LIFE. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD LEADS TO LIFE

• Proverbs 19:23 – The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
• Proverbs 22:4 – By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and LIFE.

THE PATH OF LIFE

• (again) Proverbs 11:19 – As RIGHTEOUSNESS LEADS TO LIFE, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
• Psalm 16:11 – You will show me the PATH OF LIFE; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
• Isaiah 2:3 – He will teach us HIS WAYS, and we shall walk in HIS PATHS.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
• Matthew 7:14 – Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to LIFE, and there are few who find it.
• Acts 2:28 – You have made known to me the ways of LIFE; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’
• Proverbs 15:24 – The WAY OF LIFE winds upward for the wise, That he may turn away from hell below.
• Proverbs 21:21 – He who FOLLOWS RIGHTEOUSNESS and mercy FINDS LIFE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and honor.
• Proverbs 6:23 – For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the WAY OF LIFE…
• Proverbs 10:16 – The labor of the righteous leads to LIFE, The wages of the wicked to sin. He who keeps instruction is in the WAY OF LIFE, but he who refuses correction goes astray.
  • Special note: Taking heed to instruction is important to keep on the RIGHT WAY – the WAY OF LIFE.
• Proverbs 4:13 – Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your LIFE.
• Proverbs 16:22 – Understanding is a wellspring of LIFE to him who has it. 

REPENTANCE IS THE WAY TO LIFE

• Acts 11:18 – When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles REPENTANCE TO LIFE.”
• I John 5:16 – If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him LIFE for those who commit sin not leading to death…

LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD

• Leviticus 17:11 – For the LIFE of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’
  • Special note: Without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins (Hebrews 9:22) Jesus’s blood was shed as the Passover lamb was symbolic of, for our sins. He is the Lamb of God (John 1:29; Revelation 5:6; 7:17; 19:9; 21;22)
• I John 1:7 – …the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
• Revelation 1:5 – from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
• I Peter 1:18-19 – …knowing that you were not redeemed with ^[a]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 
• Ephesians 1:7 – …we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
• Hebrews 9:12,14; 10:19 – with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption… how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? … Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…

THE LORD’S LOVINGKINDNESS IS BETTER THAN LIFE

• Psalm 63:3 – Because Your lovingkindness is BETTER THAN LIFE, My lips shall praise You.

THE BOOK OF LIFE

• Philippians 4:3 – I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the BOOK OF LIFE.
• Revelation 22:19 – … and if anyone takes away from the WORDS of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
• Malachi 3:16 – Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him
  for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name.

CROWN OF LIFE

• James 1:12 – Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the CROWN OF LIFE which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

GRACE OF LIFE

• I Peter 3:7 – Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the GRACE OF LIFE, that your prayers may not be hindered.

ISSUES OF LIFE COME FROM THE HEART

• Proverbs 14:30 – A SOUND HEART IS LIFE to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.
• Proverbs 4:23 – Keep your HEART with all diligence, for out of it spring the ISSUES OF LIFE.

WISDOM GIVES LIFE

• Ecclesiastes 7:12 – But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives LIFE to those who have it.
• Proverbs 3:18; 8:35 – She (wisdom) is a TREE OF LIFE to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her. For whoever finds me finds LIFE, And obtains favor from the Lord;

REIGNING IN LIFE

• Romans 5:17,18,21 – For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS will REIGN IN LIFE through the One, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life… so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through RIGHTEOUSNESS to ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE POWER OF LIFE & DEATH IS IN OUR WORDS

• Proverbs 18:21 – DEATH AND LIFE are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
• (again) Proverbs 4:22 – Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the ISSUES OF LIFE.

• Proverbs 14:30 – A sound heart is LIFE to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.
• Proverbs 10:11 – The mouth of the righteous is a WELL OF LIFE, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
• Proverbs 13:3 – He who guards his mouth PRESERVES HIS LIFE, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
• (again) Proverbs 15:4 – A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
• Psalm 34:12-13 – … Who is the man who DESIRES LIFE, and loves many days, that he may see good? ¹³ Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.

ALIENATED FROM LIFE OF GOD THROUGH IGNORANCE

• Ephesians 4:18 – …having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the LIFE OF GOD, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart…

IDOLS ARE LIFELESS

• Leviticus 17:11 – For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’
• Leviticus 26:30 – I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.

TRUE LIFE – NOT FOUND IN MATERIALISM

• Luke 12:15,23 – He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s LIFE does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” LIFE is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
• John 6:27 – Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to EVERLASTING LIFE, which the Son of Man will give you…

LOSING OUR LIFE TO FIND IT

• John 12:25; Matthew 10:39 – He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life… He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

OBEDIENCE IS A KEY to life

• Matthew 19:17 – …But if you want to enter into LIFE, keep the commandments.”
• Isaiah 1:19,20 – If you are willing and OBEDIENT, you shall eat the good of the land; ²⁰ But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
• I Samuel 15:22 –  Behold, TO OBEY is better than sacrifice,
• Romans 16:26 – but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for OBEDIENCE to the faith—
• 2 Corinthians 10:5 – casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the OBEDIENCE of Christ,

OUR LIFESTYLE

• Romans 6:4 – Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.
• 2 Timothy 3:10 – But you have carefully followed my doctrine, MANNER OF LIFE, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
• I Timothy 4:8 – For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the LIFE THAT NOW IS and of that which is to come.
• I John 3:14, 16 – We know that we have passed from death to LIFE, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death… By this we know love, because He laid down His LIFE for us. And we also ought to lay down our LIVES for the brethren.
• Psalm 23:6 – Surely goodness & mercy shall follow me all the days of my LIFE, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever…
• Psalm 27:4 – One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my LIFE, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

LONG LIFE

• Deuteronomy 32:46-48 – “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. ⁴⁷ For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your LIFE, and by this word you shall PROLONG YOUR DAYS
• Psalm 91:16 – With LONG LIFE I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
• Psalm 103:4 – Who redeems your LIFE from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

EVERLASTING / ETERNAL LIFE

• Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.
• John 6:27 – Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to EVERLASTING LIFE, which the Son of Man will give you…
• John 5:39,40 – You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have ETERNAL LIFE; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have LIFE.
• I John 5:20 …we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and ETERNAL LIFE.
• John 5:21,24 – For as the Father raises the dead and gives LIFE to them, even so the Son gives LIFE to whom He will. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into LIFE.
• Psalm 133:1,3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ³ It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— LIFE FOREVERMORE.
• Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit ETERNAL LIFE.
• John 3:15,16,36 – …that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
• John 6:68 – But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of ETERNAL LIFE.
• John 10:28 – And I give them ETERNAL LIFE, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
• John 12:25 – He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for ETERNAL LIFE.
• John 12:50 – And I know that His command is EVERLASTING LIFE. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”
• Acts 13:46,48 – Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of EVERLASTING LIFE, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to ETERNAL LIFE believed.
• John 17:2-3 – as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give ETERNAL LIFE to as many as You have given Him. And this is ETERNAL LIFE, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
• Romans 2:7 – …ETERNAL LIFE to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality…
• Romans 6:22,23 – But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, EVERLASTING LIFE. – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
• I Timothy 1:16 – for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
• I Timothy 6:12,19 – Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on ETERNAL LIFE, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses… storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on ETERNAL LIFE.
• Titus 1:2; 3:7 – ..in hope of ETERNAL LIFE which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began… that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of ETERNAL LIFE.
• I John 2:25 – And this is the promise that He has promised us—ETERNAL LIFE.
• I John 3:15 – Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has ETERNAL LIFE abiding in him.
• I John 5:11,13 – And this is the testimony: that God has given us ETERNAL LIFE, and this LIFE is in His Son. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have ETERNAL LIFE, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
• I John 5:20  – And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and ETERNAL LIFE.
• Jude 1:21 – keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto ETERNAL LIFE.
• Matthew 25:46 – And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but THE RIGHTEOUS INTO ETERNAL LIFE.”
• (Again) John 4:14 – but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE.”
• John 4:36 – he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for ETERNAL LIFE, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
• John 6:40,47,48,53,54 – And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have EVERLASTING LIFE; and I will raise him up at the last day.” Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has EVERLASTING LIFE. I am the BREAD OF LIFE. I am the LIVING BREAD which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will LIVE FOREVER; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the LIFE of the world.” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have NO LIFE in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has ETERNAL LIFE, and I will raise him up at the last day.
• Galatians 6:8 – For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap EVERLASTING LIFE.

CHOOSE LIFE – NOT DEATH

• Deuteronomy 30:15,19,20 – “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil… I have set before you LIFE AND DEATH, blessing and cursing; therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both you and your descendants may LIVE; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your LIFE and the LENGTH OF YOUR DAYS; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

IN SUMMARY

LIFE is a precious gift of God. The devil is out to kill, steal and destroy LIFE. Jesus came to bring us LIFE, ETERNAL, EVERLASTING LIFE, and that more abundantly (John 10:10).  Let’s greatly value it and praise God for it. Let’s make choices that produce LIFE, not death. Jesus is the true and LIVING GOD. His Word and Spirit brings LIFE. We are born again to a LIVING HOPE by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, hallelujah (I Peter 1:3)!
